The following project results have been developed as part of the SAFE project:
The SAFE Framework –Framework in the Management of Current Exclusion Situations and European Awareness – is a management framework that addresses current exclusion situations and European Awareness. It explores an analysis of the European reality in this domain, focusing on the specific situations identified in Norway, Italy, Ireland, and Spain.
The framework was developed to provide a valuable European context that served as a basis for developing the following:
The Curriculum for the Management of current exclusion situations and European Awareness is a European-based curriculum that aims to equip low-skilled or low-qualified adults with high-quality competences to handle social exclusion situations and promote the social inclusion of marginalized groups. It focuses on acquiring and developing skills related to managing specific situations of social inclusion and intolerance that lead to the exclusion of individuals.
The curriculum encompasses procedures, positive experiences, tools, instruments, and protocols that are relevant to the daily lives of disadvantaged individuals in the current European environment. It covers various main areas such as education and interculturality, understanding current intolerance in Europe, promoting social inclusion, personal development, utilizing technology for social inclusion, addressing fake news, managing collective behaviour, confronting prejudices, facilitating labour inclusion, and promoting equality, respect, and justice in daily interactions.
The Methodology for training in the management of current exclusion situations and European awareness" is an innovative European methodology aimed at providing active, dynamic, and affordable training for low-qualified and low-skilled individuals experiencing social exclusion. Its purpose is to empower them with the necessary skills for effective social inclusion in the face of existing intolerance in Europe, utilizing the curriculum developed in Project Result 2. Given that the target audience of SAFE consists primarily of disadvantaged individuals, creating an appropriate training methodology tailored to their needs is crucial for the success of the project. The European Methodology will incorporate dynamic and enjoyable training strategies, ensuring affordability and simplicity for the target audience. It will draw upon innovative pedagogical standards and prioritise the transferability of training across various social and geographical contexts.
The methodology will provide clear instructions and information for conducting training activities, while also being flexible enough to be adapted to different target groups. Additionally, it will offer guidance not only for social workers but also for other professionals and associated personnel working in this field to effectively address intolerance situations and support affected individuals.
